Engraved by E. Mouchon; typographed by Atelier de Fabrication des Timbres, Paris. 
Printed 15-17 June 1896. A total of 61,275 cards were delivered to Chefneaux in Paris on 15 July 1896. A reported 3,000 sets were sent to Ethiopia, however there may have 6,000 of the 1 guerche as 3,219 of them were inventoried in 1903. The balances were held in France and sold to collectors by A. Maury. They later appear with French stamps in 1936-1941.
